Welcome to Our Practice

1970

Dr Tom Rees started a dental practice at Elanora Heights. Shortly after he moved the practice to Wheeler Heights. Later, he bought a house in Ocean St, Narrabeen and set the practice up from the house on the beach. (What a life!)

Marie Finey starts dental assisting with Dr Tom Rees.
Dr Robert Fenton worked as an associate with Dr Tom Rees.

1995

Dr Robert Fenton took over the practice from Dr Tom Rees. And the practice moved premises to a medical centre in Albert St Narrabeen. This became Waves Dental. Marie Finey stays on and assists Dr Robert Fenton.

Oct 2008

Dr Joanne Evans opens Warriewood Dental within Warriewood Medical Centre. Vicki Sacco is hired as dental assistant and Amanda Sullivan as associate dentist.

2010

Dr Joanne Evans moves premises to the Gateway Building and Gateway Dental Care was started. Vicki continues assisting at Gateway Dental Care and Amanda continues as associate dentist.

2013/2014

Dr Joanne Evans bought Waves Dental practice from Dr Robert Fenton. Dr Joanne Evans now owns both practices and works from Waves Dental and Gateway Dental Care. Marie Finey stays on and assists Dr Joanne Evans.
Nika Hrastovsek works as associate dentist at Waves Dental and Gateway Dental Care.

2017

Corrinne Vercoe is hired as dental assistant. Dr Joanne Evans amalgamates Waves Dental with Gateway Dental Care in our current
location. Marie Finey stays on and assists Dr Joanne Evans at Gateway Dental Care. Vicki Sacco and Corrinne Vercoe also continue as dental assistants at Gateway Dental Care. Nika Hrastovsek and Amanda Sullivan continue as associate dentists at Gateway

Dental Care.

2019

Dr Joanne Evans employs Rachel Clark as practice manager. Rachel had previously worked with Dr Joanne Evans at a dental practice in Avalon when Joanne first came to Australia in 2006.

Nov 2023

DR Joanne Evans sells Gateway Dental Care to Dr Tushaan Bhindi and a new era begins...
Marie, Vicki, Corrinne and Rachel all continue working at Gateway Dental Care for Dr Tushaan Bhindi and associates, including Dr Amanda Sullivan, Dr Nika Hrastovsek and Dr Eliese Bruno, who joined the team in early 2023.
Dr Payam Yazdani joins the team also, as does Bianca Joslin-Thomas as dental
assistant.

Nov 2024

Marie Finey celebrates 55 years as a dental assistant......all with us!!
Our logo represents 60 years in the area from Elanora, Wheeler Heights, Narrabeen and Warriewood to our home here at Gateway in Mona Vale.
